Desde el primer momento en que el Gobierno suspendió las clases presenciales en los colegios, adoptamos con el equipo directivo y docente un proyecto de educación virtual apoyado en tres plataformas.
Contamos con un equipo de ayuda integrado por personas expertas en el manejo de la educación virtual para hacer de este proceso el mejor para todos. Queremos agradecer su comprensión, su solidaridad y apoyo para el éxito del aprendizaje de sus hijos en los hogares.
Estamos obrando con el espíritu Kolbista que nos caracteriza y haciendo todo para que esta situación extraordinaria que nos tocó vivir sea una etapa de aprendizaje, unión familiar y de una buena conexión entre el Colegio y las familias. Seguimos trabajando con amor, dedicación y con mucha responsabilidad.

Nuestro compromiso es generar un cambio disciplinario en la educación de nuestros niños, el juego, el disfrute, la socialización, las reglas y el orden son pilares para el modelo de la enseñanza en la primera infancia, deseamos fortalecer los procesos de cognición y lenguaje a través del aprendizaje significativo fomentando la creatividad.
Para nosotros es muy importante el acompañamiento de los padres en el desarrollo de sus hijos ya que ellos son los agentes principales para proveer herramientas integras para el alcance de la felicidad, un niño feliz es un niño emocionalmente sano que aportará bienestar a la sociedad.
Como nivel de preescolar visualizamos una mejor comunicación con nuestros padres Kolbistas a través de herramientas tecnológicas como cibercolegios donde encontraran toda la información necesaria a nivel pedagógico, administrativo y de bienestar; Sistema UNOi fortalece niveles de pensamiento ahí encontraran las actividades que realizan los niños para mayor seguimiento en el curso de transición. Juntos aprendemos y juntos enseñamos. Todo por amor es acompañar.
Preescolar
Distance learning can be a challenge, but when doing so with our Elementary students we continuously consider the school philosophy “Everything for Love.” To us this means that even though everything is mediated by a computer screen, time management, and the ups and downs of the internet connection, our students do not miss the closeness of friends and teachers. Students can count on their teachers working as a team to lead this adventure while constantly engaging them and not letting anyone feel left out.
How do we do this? The school is implementing the use of various platforms to keep in touch with students and their families. Specifically, Cibercolegios is the primary platform for written communication with students and their families, Google Hangouts Meet is being used for virtual meetings/video calls, on YouTube students may watch videos that their teachers upload and share, and students can also find interactive activities and textbooks on the educational platform UNOi.
Classes are hybrid, some provide synchronous-learning with contact between teachers and students happening in real-time, while others provide asynchronous-learning without real-time communication. Under this model, Elementary students complete a variety of different activities and lessons each day so as to avoid issues with motivation or attendance. Additionally, every week students have a virtual homeroom meeting with their course director which provides an opportunity to not only discuss academic topics but also to interact with their homeroom teacher and classmates in a relaxed environment.

Our goal as education providers (teachers, pedagogical advisers, wellness coordinators, and directors) is to make students feel as close as possible to school from home. For this reason, a schedule has been made in which the students have a daily space to communicate with the teachers from each of their subjects. In this space, teachers carry out class sessions, complying with the academic program of each course, and provide an opportunity for students to receive answers and clear up doubts about activities previously assigned by them.
Virtual class activities are taking place across various digital platforms. Specifically, Google Hangouts Meet is being used for virtual meetings/video calls, the educational tools available on UNOi are being incorporated, and Cibercolegios continues to be our primary platform for written communication with students and their families.
Finally, a weekly homeroom meeting is carried out by course directors in which they discuss and evaluate their students’ experiences, difficulties, and successes in this process and provide support and unity among their course to further spread our philosophy of “Everything for Love.”
Transitioning from face-to-face classes to an online distance-learning model, specifically in High School, can come with many challenges related to organization, time-management, or internet connection for both Teachers and Students. While implementing this new learning model, our team is dedicated to confronting all of these challenges with creative solutions while keeping in mind the individual experience of our students from home and how we can maintain a positive connection with each one of them and their families.
By implementing conscious lesson plans, we are confident that our students will continue to feel engaged and inspired by meaningful class activities. Virtual classes are taking place with both synchronous-learning and asynchronous-learning models making use a variety of digital platforms. Specifically, Cibercolegios is the primary platform for written communication with students and their families; Google Suite is being used for virtual meetings/video calls as well as sharing documents and emails; UNOi provides students with a wide array of interactive activities, videos, and digital materials including MyOn, the students digital library; and finally YouTube videos are being used to complement and reinforce class topics.
In addition to various activities and lessons to engage our students, we help to guide them from a distance with an appropriate feedback process and virtual homeroom meeting sessions with their course directors. It is our mission to help our students grow in their Christian values, under the school philosophy of “Everything for Love” to become more capable and committed critical thinkers not only in their school work. but also as young citizens of an ever-changing globalized world.
